Profile - Violet Miller

Violet first put skis on at eighteen months old, and she started race skiing at seven years old.  Her first race was the Mini Girls Race at BARSCS where she came 3rd, competing against much older girls.  After this achievement Violet never looked back, and she progressed up through the Children's ranks on the British Race Circuit, and she was selected for the British Children's Alpine Ski Team for the first time in 2008. Many successful trips to Europe followed this, with Violet representing Great Britain in the Children I, and later Children II categories.  

Violet had a successful 2010 Season where she won the Overall Points title (in the Children II Girls category) at the English Championships in Bormio and won the Super G and the Giant Slalom titles there also.  She followed this with a win in the Giant Slalom in the Children II Girls category at the Scottish Championships in Courchevel, before going on to win the Super G (in Children II Girls) and also the Giant Slalom, and the Overall Points title at the British Championships in Meribel. These victories led to Violet being selected to join the British Junior Alpine Ski Team for the 2010/2011 Season.

A summer ski training in the Southern Hemisphere, in Chile, has helped Violet prepare for the busy Winter Race Season ahead in Europe, where she will be competing on the FIS Circuit.

During the winter months, Violet trains with her race team in Italy.
