Emily started skiing on dry slopes at the age of 2 ½ and started racing just over a year later. After winning many competitions, Emily started skiing on snow at the age of 7. She was picked for the British Children's Alpine Ski Team in Children1 and skied with them for the next four years, competing in many international races and attending Topolino three times.
Emily then moved on to the England Alpine Team for her first year of FIS racing and was subsequently chosen for the British Junior Alpine Ski Team.
Emily does compete in dry slope races occasionally but mainly concentrates on snow. She is still in full time education at college, studying Sport and Exercise Science.
