Emma skied for the first time in France on a family ski holiday at age 4. It wasn’t until she was 8 years old that she next skied and joined the local race club at Sunderland dry ski slope with her brother. When Jack, her brother became ill, Emma then became a regular at the club as this was Emma and her dad's break from the hospital once a week. She progressed her way through the groups within the club and began racing around the UK on the dry slope circuit winning many national titles.

Emma raced alpine for a few years progressing from dry slope to snow domes to the snowy mountains until she discovered ski cross aged 16. She then moved to Switzerland where she attained a ski scholarship at Aiglon College. She began competing in ski cross in both FIS and European Cup races.

At age 18, Emma had graduated from school and began her first full-time European season. This is where Emma truly realised what her passion was and what she wanted to accomplish within skiing. Emma qualified for World Cup at the end of her first full-time season (2016/17) and was named to the long list for the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Emma, now 20 years old aims to achieve a top 8 finish at her last Junior World Championships in New Zealand this August. Long term Emma aspires to become one of the best in the world and compete in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics along side her brother at the Winter Paralympics.
