Alpine Youth & Development Hub BSS Alpine Development Group The formation of the BSS Alpine Development Group and its co-ordination and delivery with the squad systems of Snowsport England, Snowsport Scotland and Snowsport Wales are designed to provide a co-ordinated approach to the development of Alpine athletes within the British system from U16 to U21. The main purposes of this initiative are to help prepare our U16 athletes properly for the challenges of FIS racing, and to help prepare older athletes for the potential of going full time. The system should also act as a stepping stone to membership of the Delancey British World Cup, Europa Cup and FIS & U21 Alpine squads. For this season, the older athletes in the Children II category are selected from those born in 2002 and 2003, and the younger athletes in the Children I category are selected from those born in 2004 and 2005.
