Andy started skiing at the age of 17. Since then he has had many mountaineering and skiing adventures and is very highly regarded amongst this community. He has done numerous seasons after gaining his first BASI qualification in 1983. He worked in Andorra as an instructor and ski patrol from 1984-1998 followed by a season in New Zealand. In 1996 he skied from the summit of Mt McKinley (via Rescue Gulley). He has gained his BASI Alpine ISTD Level 4 and is also a Telemark Trainer.
