Andrew started skiing very late, at the age of fifteen on a school trip. He only started skiing frequently when he joined the Nordic Ski Club at his university in 1993.

At his first ever Championship he won the Champion Novice and then went on to represent the Army at Biathlons in 1997/1998. He started telemark skiing in 1996 for recreation purposes only, but by 2006 had been selected to captain the British team, a position he has held since then and continues to hold.

andrew clarke action3Since 2006, Andrew has been managing the team at World and Europa Cups. He has made 36 World Cup appearances, with his best result so far being 20th place. He has also been placed 10th in a Europa Cup and was British Champion in 2008 and 2009.
