Skyla has had limited
competition exposure to date but hopes to use her experience on the GB squad in
more competitions this season.
Goals:
Skyla is keen to train as
much as possible with the squad and try to gain as much competition experience
as she can this season. At age 13 Skyla hopes this early opportunity and some
hard work will put her on track to be a World Cup and Olympic Snowboarder in
years to come.

Short bio:
Skyla grew up in
Buckinghamshire and learnt to snowboard on her home slope at SnoZone Milton
Keynes aged 8 and really took to it. Although most of her time was spent
indoors Skyla really wanted to try Snowboardcross from an early stage and
competed in her first Brits aged just 10 coming 3rd in her age group. School
and other sporting commitments (including gaining a black belt in Karate) kept
Skyla away from competition for a year but in 2013 she competed again at the
Brits before successful outings at both the English and GB Indoor
Championships. Following a successful trial in Hintertux in October Skyla was
delighted to be invited to join the GB squad as an Elite Junior. She hopes to
make the most of this opportunity to develop her SBX skills and compete in
selected competitions across Europe to gain further experience.
