Greatest sporting achievement to date
It’s early days but competing at the World Championships in Oslo was pretty spectacular
Sporting hero
David Millar - the Scottish road racing cyclist
Most important support person
My parents - They have doubled up as sponsors, nutritionists and of course various other supporting roles.
Favourite food
Lasagne - its great for a good tasting carb upload
Worst injury and why
Probably dropping an axe on my foot a couple of years ago. Fortunately it was in April, so I had time to recover before serious training started.
Favourite type of training/training session
Lactate threshold skating intervals. Almost race speed but without so much of the lactic acid burn.
Favourite training location
Hovden ,Norway. I went to a ski school in Hovden for a year, it’s a great town with brilliant ski tracks despite being in the middle of nowhere.
What would I do if not an athlete?
Probably be a lot closer to finishing my degree and enjoying far more of the social side of University life.
