Favourite type of training/training session
I like long ski sessions in classic technique, where I go out into the mountains in the middle of nowhere. I also like skate sessions in the spring when it is sunny and I can ski in shorts and a t-shirt. In terms of intervals, I like hard intervals in easy terrain, Something like 5x3mins on flat or undulating terrain, the speed is really high and the aim is to ski as fast as possible whilst feeling relaxed.
Nutrition whilst training/Favourite food
My favourite food has to be peanut butter sandwiches, maybe ever peanut butter and honey - anything with peanut butter really. Depending on what training is, I normally eat bread and peanut butter for breakfast and a banana washed down with either milk/fruit juice. I eat my first lunch after training around 11am, normally some more peanut butter and bread, maybe another banana. For second lunch around 3.30pm I have more bread and peanut butter and a raw carrot. After my second training session I have a big meal. Something like salmon with vegetables, and potatoes. For dessert I have something like tinned pineapple or some other fruit. Before I go to bed, more bread and peanut butter, a glass of milk, and some more fruit.
