Short Bio: Laurie started skiing when he was 6 years old on a family holiday. From that moment he loved skiing and this led to him joining the Aldershot Ski Race Team when he was 9.

When Laurie was 10, he was invited to train at the British Ski Academy (BSA), which is based in Les Houches, France. Laurie has been skiing with BSA each European season since. He spends his summer racing in New Zealand with the Queenstown Alpine Ski Team (QAST).

To help support his skiing, Laurie washes dishes at BSA, helps the caretaker of the Otago Ski Lodge and has worked with Browns ski shop in Queenstown..

Earlier this year, Laurie was selected for team GB and competed in the European Youth Olympic Games in Brasov, Romania, which was a great experience for him.

Laurie is one of the best racers for his age in the UK and his goals are to become world class and progress to race in Europa Cups, World Cups and the Olympics.

Laurie completed his A-level equivalents in November 2012 and is now taking time out to ski full time to realize his racing dreams.

Other interests: Science, trampolining, free running and he supports Fulham.
