Profile - Honor Clissold

A talented athlete and an aggressive skier who performs on the more technical slopes, Honor Clissold has been skiing since she was two years old. She joined the Club de Sports in Flaine at aged nine and won the Chamonix Valley GS title the following year. More recently Honor has benefited from the strategic programme offered by Team Evolution, based in Austria. She has performed consistently at British Children’s level topping podiums in all disciplines, and winning three Overall British titles; but her most significant results have been in Giant Slalom, where she won the British title by nearly three seconds in 2012 and two in 2013.

As one of the members of the small group of elite athletes trained by Team Evolution, Honor is looking forward to the challenge of racing at Junior level as part of the British Junior Team. She follows a tightly structured programme that allows her to balance her ski-ing commitment with her academic work, while continuing to develop her all-round athletic ability.
