Jai is the newest member of the British Senior Alpine Ski Team, selected in his first year as a Senior racer, from outside of the previous GB setup, now under the new governance of BSS. From early beginnings of dry slope races, Jai progressed to the England Ski Team, and went on to compete in the European Youth Olympics in 2007, gaining a GB team best performance in Giant Slalom.
It was not until Jai had completed his A Levels, and accepted by Loughborough University, to do a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, that he decided to defer further education and finally start training full time in 2008.
Jai became British Junior GS champion in 2009, and was overall runner up Jnr. Champion in 2008 and 2009, a commendable achievement, coming back from a broken leg, and after two years of private training and racing without GB team status.
Looking forward to this season, as a member of the British Alpine Ski Team, Jai has continued to improve on his fitness and strength, enjoyed summer training with Team GB, and with technical improvements too, is keen to make some good results in Europa Cup.
