Profile - Imogen Taylor

Imogen started skiing at a young age and joined a local ski race club in ch1. She was selected for the British Children's Ski Team in her second year with the club. Imogen competed in many international races during her 3 full years as a member of the team.

In the 2008/2009 season Imogen moved to Ambition Racing to get more time on snow and more focused coaching. Her early skiing highlights were being Ch1 British Slalom Champion, Ch2 British Slalom Champion and being selected to race for Great Britain at Topolino in 2009.

In her first year of FIS (2009/2010) Imogen was able to achieve sub-100 points in Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super-G, and competed in her first Downhill races. At the English Championships in Bormio she was Overall English Alpine Junior1 Champion. Imogen learnt a great deal from this season, making some important technical changes and improvements which led to her selection to the British Junior Alpine Ski Team.  A month of training in Chile during the 2010 summer was a great experience for Imogen and this intense training and racing on good speed courses prepared her well for the coming season.

Although 2010/2011 was a tough season for both training and racing, (due to illness), at the British Champs in April, Imogen finished the season with some massive achievements, which she is very proud of!
