Since then Ben has gone on to establish himself as a contender on the international scene and claimed banked slalom silver and snowboard cross bronze at the 2015 World Championships in La Molina, Spain – the latter representing the first won by a British athlete at that level. He has also competed at the X Games in Aspen in 2015 where he finished 10thh. In 2017 Ben added another World Championship medal to his tally when he picked up banked slalom bronze in Big White, Canada. Ben was part of the ParalympicsGB team that competed at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games - the first time Great Britain has had representation in the sport at Paralympic level. Ben finished seventh in the banked slalom and tenth in the snowboard cross. Ben lost the use of his left arm in a motorcycle accident in 1985 and competes in the Upper Limb Impaired category.
