Woodsy through to Slopestyle finals in Park City, last World Cup on the Aerials circuit and Muzzy rounds up at Nordic World Champs

Today sees James Woods compete in the Men’s World Cup Ski Slopestyle Finals in Park City. After qualifying 5^th in his heat yesterday with a best score of 85.40, Woodsy will drop in 4^th today for the Finals which kick off at 13.30 local time, (MST), 20.30 UK time.

In the Ladies Ski Slopestyle contest, 16 year old Isabel Atkin finished 8^th  overall, just losing out on a spot in finals with top 6 going through. Katie Summerhayes day didn’t go as planned after falling on both qualification runs and finishing 21^st overall.  

Wednesday saw tricky windy conditions in Park City with Jamie Nicholls and Rowan Coultas competing in the Snowboard Slopestyle qualifiers. Both riding in the first heat, Rowan finished 7^th and Jamie 10^th, meaning they both just missed out on finals which took the top four from each heat through.  Overall 17 year old Coultas finished an awesome 13^th place and Nicholls finished 19^th. 

Later that day Halfpipe skiers James Machon and Murray Buchan finished 14^th and 10^th respectively in their heats, both missing out on a spot in the finals, placing Buchan 23^rd and Machon 28^th overall.

Across the way at Steamboat Springs, after her Bronze medal at Telemark World Championships in the Sprint on Tuesday, Jaz Taylor went on to finish 9^th in the Parallel Sprint yesterday. Team mate Sion Bingham finished 33^rd in the Men’s Sprint and 16^th in the Men’s Parallel Sprint Junior category. Both Jaz and Sion will be competing in the Classic which runs today.

With the Nordic World Ski Championships continuing in Falun, Wednesday saw Andrew Musgrave finish an impressive 16^th  in the 15km Freestyle in a strong field of over 85 athletes. Muzzy will round up his World Championships with the 50km Classic on Sunday. Posy Musgrave competed in the 10km Freestyle on Tuesday finishing 49^th out of 70 Ladies.

Delancey Alpine Athlete Charlie Guest competed at Monte Pora Europa Cup in the night Slalom yesterday finishing a brilliant 20^th from bib 45. Unfortunately team mate Alex Tilley DNF’d the 2^nd run.

Aerials skier Lloyd Wallace has headed over to Minsk, Belarus, for Sunday’s World Cup, the last Aerials World Cup of the season.

Moguls skier Max Willis is in Tazawako, Japan, this weekend competing in his first World Cup of the season, with Moguls on Saturday and Dual Moguls on Sunday.

Next week sees members of the Delancey British Alpine team head over to Hafjell in Norway, ahead of the Alpine World Junior Championships. See here for further information on the team and event starting 7^th March.
