Opportunities to help lead British Ski and Snowboard

BSS Logo with Text

British Ski and Snowboard is required by its Constitution to hold elections for some of the Discipline Committee officers.  The terms of office of the Discipline Chairmen and Vice Chairmen are staggered so that not all officers change at once and there is therefore some continuity in the Committee structures.  Elections are required to be completed by July 2014 for the following positions:

Discipline Committee

Position

Alpine, Speed and Telemark

Chairman

Freestyle Ski

Chairman

Nordic

Vice Chair

Snowboard

Vice Chair

BSS would strongly encourage any person who is interested in helping to lead our organisation to send a nomination form through to Sophie.Morrison@teambss.org.uk .  The nomination form is available on the BSS website here. Please note that all positions are voluntary. To find out more about what is involved in these positions, visit the following links for Discipline Chair and Discipline Vice Chair roles.

Nominations will close on 25th April 2014 and a candidate list and voting papers will be sent to relevant disciplines during May.  Candidates elected to these positions will be asked to serve a four year term commencing in July 2014.

As the national governing body for snowsports we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity in all that we do, from selecting athletes and coaches, through to the appointment of boards, and the hiring of staff.  We will challenge discrimination, and work hard to increase the diversity of our sport.
