Earlier this morning Woodsy took part in qualifiers, with a solid first run scoring 87.20 placing him 3^rd, and seeing him become the first ever British athlete to go through to a Men’s Ski Slopestyle Olympic Final.

The finals saw an incredible start list. Woodsy, riding 10^th, put down an outstanding run scoring an incredible 86.60. With a hip injury from practice Woodsy fought on but was unable to better his first run and make the competitive podium. Woodsy finished in an amazing 5^th place overall.

On his performance
"It's always a little disappointing when you can't perform at your best, but I'm very proud to be here in such an immense final.
"Any other occasion I wouldn't be near my skis so I cannot be unhappy with this - it's the world stage.
"Fifth in the Olympics, with four of my best mates in front of me, it is great. I think as a whole we'll put on an incredible show and I honestly couldn't be more happy for Joss Christensen.
"I'm a bit sore but ultimately very, very happy and proud to have been representing Great Britain in such an incredible event."

On his injury
"Some things hurt more than others, that was in the back of my mind. I tried to forget about it, think about why I'm here, because that's a long way down."

On whether he would have medalled if he had been fit
"I'm not putting anything out there, I love skiing, I love what I'm doing, I certainly didn't bring my best game to the table today but I'm incredibly proud to be here.
"To have put down two runs, if anything I know what I'm good at, I know I was pretty clean and I was happy with it."

Her immediate reaction

"I'm gutted and there's been tears. It happens, that's our sport and people fall but I'm just gutted.

"I'm still happy with how I skied, so I need to take some positives."

On the conditions and her performance

"The first run was really slushy and I'm not really sure what happened, I landed a bit back seat and the next thing I was on the floor.

"The second run I did I wanted but I put my hands down twice on landing and that's the difference between winning and losing. It's my fault, it's just one of those things.

"I was conscious of the conditions but it wasn't really a problem."
