Katie Ormerod has become the first woman ever to land a Backside Double Cork 1080

At just 16 years old, Katie Ormerod has just changed the face of women’s snowboarding by becoming the first woman ever to land a Backside Double Cork 1080.

With a specially prepared jump in Europe, Katie has just thrown down an incredible trick that has never been seen to be attempted before.

The teenager from West Yorkshire, who earlier in the year won Bronze at the World Junior Snowboard Slopestyle Championships, and also won the World Rookie Fest last month, has rounded off her season with this historic achievement.
