Chemmy Alcott named as star guest at Snozone MK Oktoberfest

Chemmy Slalom

Four time Olympic skier and TV star Chemmy Alcott has been announced as the star guest at Snozone Milton Keynes’ Oktoberfest taking place on 4th October 2014, part of Snowsport England’s national initiative, 30 Days of Snowsport.

Chemmy, who recently retired from competitive ski racing, will get into the Oktoberfest spirit and as well as giving out some tips on the slope, has promised she will do a run on the indoor slope in her Dirndl, the traditional Bavarian outfit.

Snzone’s Oktoberfest will really kick off the winter in style, with live music from the Oompah band in the Snolounge and German delights on offer including schnitzel and delicious Alpine beverages and local ales.

Out on the slope, as well as skiing and snowboarding alongside Chemmy, there will also be a specially designed freestyle park and an exhilarating slalom run with coaches on hand to assist with both. The perfect way to sample freestyle or racing for the first time and take the first steps towards emulating Britain’s Winter Olympic heroes.

Oktoberfest will run from 10am-6pm on Saturday 4th October.  There is free entry to the Snolounge and great value group lessons available for 8 people.
