Katie Ormerod, after landing the double cork 1080, said: "I had been preparing to do the double cork 1080 for a while. I worked really hard out in the the States practicing at Woodward (indoor centre in Colorado where athletes can practice tricks/jumps), but it wasn't until the end of season on the Stubai Glacier when I could actually try it on snow. I was quite nervous going up the lift and dropping in, but I knew I had done enough practice to be able to stomp it. The jump was perfect, the weather was good and I was just so happy when I landed it. This is not just progression for me, but I also hope that it is progression for women's snowboarding."
