Appointment of Tony Willis as Alpine Business Manager

The Alpine, Speed and Telemark Committee announces today that Tony Willis has been appointed as Alpine Business Manager.
This role has been created to enhance progress in a number of specific areas. Tony will be working on the backlog of selection work that needs to be finished as well as developing a pathway document, in line with the guiding principles of BSS. Tony will also be looking at significantly improving how BSS and the AST Committee communicate with the Alpine community. There is a desire to ensure that as much of the administration of the sport as possible has been dealt with in advance of the election of a new Chair of the AST Committee due in July.
Tony has taken the role for a four month period, finishing immediately before the results of the election are announced. He has already formed a small group of people to help with the specific tasks and is likely to expand this group where appropriate. He and Dave Edwards will be hosting a public meeting to discuss a variety of issues relating to BSS and Alpine racing during the Delancey British Alpine Championships in Meribel. This meeting will take place on Saturday April 5th at 7 pm in the Race Office after the Captains meetings have finished.
