Silver Medal for Katie Summerhayes

Katie Summerhayes comfortably takes up her spot on the podium after a second place finish at the Silvaplana Slopestyle World Cup in Switzerland last week. For Summerhayes, who this season has begun her World Cup and Olympic campaign, this is a great result and stands her in good stead for her path to Sochi 2014.

This was also a fantastic result for British Snowsports as it makes Katie the first British female skier in 19 years to find herself on a World Cup podium. After coming back from an injury earlier this season, this result and its gravitas will give Katie a great push to go on to further successes.
