EYOWF Brasov 2013

After kitting out today in London, our young athletes are all set to head to Brasov to represent their country in European Youth Olympic Winter Festival. EYOWF will see over 900 athletes, aged between 14 and 18, competing across 8 disciplines. Headed up by team leader, Sean Langmuir, the team fly out tomorrow supported by the British Olympic Association.

The selected Cross Country athletes Sarah Hale and James Clugnet who are based in Switzerland and France will be coached by Roger Homyer and Ekaterina Rachel. With busy training schedules, we know these guys have been working hard and preparing for EYOWF.

Charlie Raposo, Billy Major, Laurie Taylor, Max Baggio and Darcie Mead have been selected to represent Team GB in Alpine. All of these guys have had very promising seasons so far with a number of podium results between them; we are looking forward to following the guys and seeing some great results next week. With BSS Alpine Performance Director, Sean Langmuir, as Head Coach, assisted by Paul Telling, the team are in good hands.

Snowboard will be solely represented by 15-year old Maisie Potter from Bangor, Wales. Competing in Snowboard Cross for the first time at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival, Maisie has said the opportunity has brought her one step closer to her Olympic dream. Team BSS's SBX coach James Foster will be there to support Maisie and help her gain some great results in Brasov.

Our athletes will be accompanied by Team GB 2014 Ambassador Amy Williams. Skeleton Gold Medallist Amy will be the perfect mentor and support to the athletes throughout - what for most of them - will be their first Olympic experience.
