Temporary Alpine selection policy announcement

The BSS Alpine Committee have agreed to the adoption of a temporary Alpine selection process to cover the selection of the British squad athletes for the start of the 2012 2013 season. This British Olympic Association will be giving all winter olympic sports guidance and then agreeing selection olympic qualifcation standards (OQS) with each winter National Governing Body during the early summer.

All BSS selection policies relating to Senior athletes will be reviewed after the agreement of the OQS. The Alpine Committee have therefore agreed to the publication of a temporary selection process that will cover selection of British athletes to an interim British Squad for the period up until the OQS are agreed and a revised selection policy is approved.

The process for selection of the interim squad will be undertaken during the second week of April 2012.
