Staff Announcement

It is with great regret that I have to announce that Sean Langmuir, our current Children's Team Head Coach and Alpine Performance Manager has decided to leave BSS at the end of his current agreement (April 31st). He will continue to be involved in ski racing and will be starting a new role later this summer.
Sean has been working with BSS Alpine for the past two seasons, and has been instrumental in encouraging and promoting a more varied and performance-orientated approach to training and racing. The programmes have had to run with huge financial constraints, and despite this athletes have achieved some remarkable results.
I believe that Sean has been instrumental in the evolution of the Alpine Performance Process and has been at the forefront of the cultural performance change we are embracing. I personally would like to thank Sean for his commitment to the process. His departure is a disappointing and will leave a large hole in our process.
His valuable contribution will be maintained to the future of BSS whenever and wherever possible. The legacy work that he has completed, such as the Athlete Tracker, the TiD Working Group and his Team Leadership development for major junior events are three areas where we hope to continue a working relationship.
For the short term please address any future U14/16 communications to Jenny Shute, who will redirect your inquires to the appropriate person. For any high performance issues please do not hesitate to contact myself (Paddy Mortimer) or Dave Edwards (BSS CEO).
