Geyer takes the race to the Austrians at the Austrian National Championships

British Alpine Team member Jai Geyer layed down on of his best runs so far this season whilst competing in the Austrian National Championships today.

The field at todays Austrian National Championship Slalom consisted of some of the Austria's finest talent including World Cup star Mario Matt, who Jai convincingly bettered in his second run by almost a second.

This season has been a great year for Geyer, despite coming back from a back injury, and this performance is part of a major move forward and indicator that next season he could be competing at the top level of Slalom competition.

Earlier this season, Jai was on the podium twice during a race at Bad Wiesee in Germany and also tasted victory at the English National Championships. Next on Jai's busy schedule is a trip to Meribel for the British National Championships where he'll be hoping to continue in his rich vein of form.
