A New Head Coach for the British Children's Alpine Ski Team

BSS are delighted to announce that Sean Langmuir has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the British children's ski team and will be taking on the role at the beginning of September.

Sean started ski racing from a young age. He spent many an early morning training at Hillend in Edinburgh where he got lots of miles on skis. He raced as a member of the British Ski Team for 5 years and competed in the World Cup and Olympic games in 1992.   Later, he started up the Treble Cone Racing Academy in New Zealand and ran this for seven years before taking on head coaching positions for the British and Canadian Ski Teams. Sean then returned to the UK to run the BASI training department where amongst other things he was tasked with creating the current coach education programme.

He is very much looking forward to working with all the athletes on the team and believes that all of the team members have the potential to be future World Cup racers, and perhaps some day even win an Olympic medal.
