A Hat trick for Britain's Alexandra Tilley in the Ladies NC Giant Slalom at The 2011 Delancey British National Alpine Ski Championships

Despite soft conditions on the slopes, it was another great day for British Alpine skiing as Britain's Alexandra Tilley achieved a hat-trick in the ladies NC Giant Slalom at the 2011 Delancey British National Alpine Ski Championships in Meribel.
With the Earl of Wessex, Sir John Ritblat, Lord Moynihan and the iconic Konrad Bartelski all watching the race, the pressure was on, but Tilley put on a great performance in less than ideal snow conditions, finishing with a time of 2:23.04. Tilley was presented with the Ski Club of Great Britain Challenge Cup, Ladies Ski Club Open Challenge Cup and The Gordon Skiers Cup by the Earl of Wessex himself. Tilley was also up on the podium for the International prize-giving ceremony when she was placed 3rd; behind Bogdana Matsotska from the Ukraine who came 1st with a time of 2:21.50 and Australia's Greta Small whose time of 2:22.85 put her in second place.
In the men's NC Slalom, once again there was tough competition from the French, but Britain's David Ryding held his own and won the International and National Ski Union Challenge Cup with an impressive time of 1:34.34. TJ Baldwin and Robert Bullen finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the British, with Robert Bullen going on to win the Non Team British Baird Trophy and Jack Gower awarded the British Under 18 Schools Abroad Trophy.
