YOWG 2012 - Shortlist Announced

British Ski and Snowboard are delighted to announce their nominations for inclusion in TeamGB who will be representing Great Britain at the Youth Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in January 2012.

The following athletes make up the British Ski and Snowboard shortlist:

                Lewis Courtier-Jones

The Innsbruck event, which will take place between 13^th and 22^nd January 2012, is the first Youth Olympic Winter Games and it follows the successful Youth Olympic Games that were held in Singapore in 2010.  Over 1,000 athletes will represent their countries in seven sports: biathlon, bobsleigh, curling, ice hockey, luge, skating and skiing.  Athletes will also attend a comprehensive Culture and Education Programme.  The athletes selected for TeamGB will therefore make history by being the first to represent Britain and attend a Youth Olympic Winter Games.

Please note that any appeals against the BSS selection for nomination must be made in writing, with accompanying evidence and any relevant additional information to the BSS office.  Notification of appeal must be made within 36 hours of the announcement of the nominations (appeals to be lodged no later than 08:00 GMT on Friday 9^th December). A £250 bond must be included with the submittal of the appeal. This bond will be returned if the appeal is upheld.
