Youth Olympic Games kicks off today with the Opening Ceremony in Innsbruck

Innsbruck's historic Bergisel Stadium will play host to the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games Ceremony today. The Bergisel Stadium is steeped in Olympic history, having been the setting for the opening ceremonies of the Innsbruck 1964 and 1976 Olympic Winter Games. Over a 1,000 athletes aged 14-18 from more than 80 nations will compete in all seven sports on the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games programme.

A number of BSS athletes have been selected to compete as part of Team GB.
