Victory for Baxter in Chamonix

Britain's Noel Baxter has claimed victory in last weekend's FIS slalom in the French resort of Chamonix.

The 29 year old, 2 time Olympian from Aviemore, Scotland came out top from a field of 88 competitors from 8 nations.

Baxter beat off competition from France's Benjamin Gardet, who finished in 2nd Place, winning by just under 1 second.  The GBR athlete recorded a time of 44.71 sec for his 1st run and 48.59 for his 2nd.
