Last chance to design the Innsbruck 2012 mascot
The Mascot Design Competition for the Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympic Games is nearing the deadline for entries, so get designing! The deadline for submissions is 3rd December and is open to anyone under 25 years old.
The organisers of the event have said:
"Since its introduction during the Olympic Winter Games 1968 in Grenoble, an official Olympic mascot is used in Olympic Games for promotional reasons. Usually, the mascot is some kind of endemic animal of the host region or in some cases, a human being representing the cultural heritage of the region."
The YOG 2012 mascot should:
- be happy and youthful
- be an animal, a human being or an imaginary character
- be fictitious and not bear any similarities to any existing characters
- have a clear connection to the Tyrol and to winter sports
- authentically reflect the Games, Innsbruck and the Tyrolean Youth
- fit with our "Look of the Games".
Give your mascot an appropriate name too!
All proposals for the mascot have to be submitted in digital format (Size A4, max 10MB ), with your name, date of birth, address, e-mail address and telephone number. If you draw a mascot by hand, please scan it and send it via e-mail to schule@innsbruck2012.com
