Europa Cup results for Dave Ryding

After his 7th place in Madonna Di Campiglio before Christmas Dave Ryding added 2 top 20 Europa Cup results(14th and 18th) this week in Meribel and Lenzerheide. Dave is continually moving up the field with perfomances that include the fast 2nd fastest 2nd run time in Madonna and a 10th best 2nd run in Lenzerheide.

Moving himself for the first time into the worlds' top 100 rankings  and now top 30  in the Europa cup slalom standings Dave is establishing himself in Europa Cup Slalom this season and is positioning himself well to move further towards a point whereby he can challenge in World Cup in the future.  With varying in conditions from race to race Europa cup is attracting many of the worlds top racers in need of the all the important FIS points to make an impression on the  World Cup.

On Sunday Dave will race the WC slalom on the historic Ganslerhang piste in Kitzbuhel following on from his team mate Tj Baldwin who will race SG on the Streif in Kitzbuhel on Friday. Following this the EC tour descends on Zell am See next week for what is a home race for the British team for Slalom and GS. Noel Baxter also returns to the team this week after his long absence from last year's ACL injury.
