BSS Bursaries Scheme launched
British Ski and Snowboard
are launching an exciting new scheme which will directly benefit
British Junior Team athletes. A number of individuals and
organisations are extremely keen to provide funds to be used to
support our full time British Junior Alpine team athletes. In
future we hope to raise funds to support full and part time Junior
Athletes from all disciplines.
Athletes will be required to apply for a Bursary and, if their application is successful, then they will be awarded a fund, which they can use to offset training expenses incurred through attending British Ski and Snowboard run training camps and race programmes. Full Time athletes may utilise the funds for technical equipment, physiotherapy or Strength and Conditioning services. The funding cannot be used for any other purpose.
Awards may be made of up to £20,000 for full time athletes and up to £2,500 for part-time athletes that show evidence of a developmental need.
In the first year of the scheme we are inviting any full time British Junior Alpine team athletes who are interested in this scheme to apply by 22nd October 2010..
