Profile - Christy MacKinnon

I started skiing at a very young age and since have progressed to gain international selection for the British Children's team, Scottish Junior Team and the British Junior Team. In 2007 I became the British Children's overall Champion. In 2008 and 2009 I won the British Junior Slalom title. In 2010 I also became the Scottish Senior Ladies overall Champion.

In 08/09 I was selected to represent Team GB at the European Youth Olympics where I gained valuable experience. In 10/11 I spent the early part of the season competing in America with the British Junior Team, here I significantly reduced my FIS points in two out of three disciplines and gained 2^nd junior lady in Vail CO. 

Unfortunately during training in Austria in January I suffered an injury which put me on a rehabilitation programme for the remainder of the season. I am delighted to have been re selected for the British Junior Team for the 11/12 season and look forward to achieving my challenging goals and targets set for the coming season.
