Ryding Rockets to Fourth Place

Obereggen EC 42482

David Ryding has had yet another successful bout of races this week placing fourth in the Pozza di Fassa European Cup Slalom last night. This result puts him in eighth place in the overall European Cup standings for Slalom.

After placing 12th in the EC Slalom race in Obereggen earlier this week, Dave Ryding commented in his interview with Racer Ready magazine that "This was a really tough race. I stuck it in to 12th and this was the first time that I have finished this hill."

His success follows that of a win in the FIS Slalom event in Davos at the beginning of December, and fantastic results at both the European and World Cup Slalom races in Levi back in November, where he finished in the top 15 in the EC, as well as a top 30 World Cup finish.

Dave is looking ahead to improving his EC points, and setting himself up in the World Cup standings, where he has already secured his first five points. Speaking once again to Racer Ready magazine, Dave said, "I take a lot of positives from that, from here (Obereggen), and also from Levi. I would love to do it again and let it rip on the second run in a World Cup."
