British Freestyle team head for World Championships

GB Freestyle are sending their biggest ever Team to the The Freestyle Ski World Championships. With 13 athletes and 11 support staff covering five disciplines it is probably the biggest team for any Skiing World Championships, Freestyle Alpine or otherwise. The competition takes place in Deer Valley, USA between the 2nd and 5th of February.
The GB team includes athletes competing in Aerials, Ski Cross, Half-pipe, Moguls and Slope-style and the team starts arriving on the 28th of Jan to prepare for the most important World Championships in recent times.
The International Olympic Committee executive board declared in October 2010that it looked favourably on the inclusion of ski Half-Pipe and Slope-Style at Sochi 2014 provisional on the 2011 World Championships being a success. Both organisers and athletes are working to ensure there is no excuse for the IOC not to rubber stamp the disciplines inclusion.
The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme TASS support a number of
the athletes financially and are providing physio support as well
as team suits.
