Ryding finishes impressive 16th at Schladming World Cup

The famous Schladming night Slalom was the setting for another top 20 finish for Delancey British Alpine Ski Team athlete Dave Ryding.

Dave finished in an impressive 16th position in front of a 50,000 strong Austrian crowd. Dave said of the race:

"I did two solid technically good runs which I was pretty happy with. I was massively disappointed after Kitzbuehel and I wanted to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. I tried to keep a line on the steep as I knew this would be where you could lose a lot of time. And I managed to do this on both runs.

"I am really content with how January has gone. Apart from Adelbolden, I felt I skied really well in what was a full-on month. I am going to make the most of a few days rest now, and then try as hard as I can to try and make the World Cup finals in March."

Dave is next in action at the Slalom World Cup in Yuzawa Naeba in Japan on 14th February.
