Konrad Bartelski

Konrad is Chairman of the Selectors at British Ski and Snowboard. He is Britain's most successful World Cup Downhill racer, finishing 2nd in the 1981 Val Gardena World Cup. In his career, Konrad skied for Great Britain in three Winter Olympic Games and numerous major championships.

In 1983 Konrad retired from the World Cup circuit, having achieved what he set out to do: put the Union Jack on the World Cup podium! Konrad launched straight into a new career as a sports commentator, something he has continued to do ever since.

Konrad is a regular competitor and race coach at the annual Swiss International Air Lines City Ski Champioships and organises regular skiing adventures, showing that he is still as keen on skiing as ever before. During recent winters Konrad has worked as a co-commentator for Channel 4's World Cup coverage.
